ARC Sign Ups

Bonjour Dear Reader!

Here you will find all the information you need about the current availability of advanced review copies (ARCs) of my upcoming resleases.

You do not have to be a book influencer to receive an ARC. You only need to love reading and are willing to review the book on book reviewing sites (like Goodreads, etc.) or be able to post a book review on your prefered retailer (like Amazon, etc.) or social media platform (like Instagram or TikTok, etc.).

By signing up to become an ARC reader, if accepted, you are agreeing to receive a free copy in exchange for your fair and honest review.

Thank you so much for your interest in reading and reviewing my book! I truly appreciate every reader who takes the time to request an ARC. I cannot wait for you to meet the characters of my upcoming book!

Bisous,

ANNE

*Please note: Not everyone who signs up for an ARC will receive one. Each application is vetted by my publishing team and only a certain amount are distributed. Thank you for your understanding.*

FAQ

What is an ARC?

An ARC is an advanced reviewer copy given to readers for free before a book’s release date in exchange for a fair and honest review. I provide mine via Bookfunnel and they are registered to each individual ARC reader for reviewing purposes use only.

Reviewing ARCs during release week help retailer algorithms (like Amazon) to recommend my book to other readers. Having first hand reading experience of someone other than the author (who only provides the book blurb and CWs) helps readers decide if a book is for them or not.

**Signing up for an ARC does NOT guarantee you will receive an ARC. **

what is the format of the ARC you send early readers?

I only send out digital ebook copies of my book for ARC readers. Bookfunnel provides an epub file to each of the selected ARC readers via Certified Mail, each eARC is registered to them individually.

What Genre do you write in? What is the Spice level?

I write romance with guaranteed happily ever afters, and all my books contain open-door spice with steamy descriptions and adult language.

Where do I post my review?

You can post your review on major reviewing sites like Goodreads, your personal or bookish blog if you have one, social media, and/or on major retailer sites like Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, etc…

Please note that sometimes there can be technical issues when trying to post a review on Amazon. I understand if you can’t post there and you prefer to post your review somewhere else.

Do we tag you in reviews?

If you enjoyed reading my book and want to share how much you liked it with me, I’d be glad to see your social media posts. You can find a link to my socials here.

You can review/rate as you wish, but just as I take my readers’ mental health seriously, I do the same for myself and my family’s wellbeing. So please don’t tag me in a negative review.

If you wish to give me constructive feedback about something in the book, you are welcome to email me here and I will take your suggestions into consideration.

What happens when we DNF your arc?

If for any reason, you’re not enjoying the book, don’t feel obligated to finish it. Reading books should bring you joy, not feel like a chore. (You also don’t need to notify me).

Are you checking on reviews?

I’m much too busy writing my next book and taking care of my family to check up on reviews. I appreciate you reading my books and talking about them (be it online or in person to your bestie). The reviews you write on various platforms are to help other readers find a book they’d enjoy, and give them the information they need to choose their next read. But if life gets in the way, and you don’t have time to write a review, that’s perfectly okay.

What if I can’t finish reading/reviewing on time?

Please don’t stress about not making the suggested review posting date in the ARC form. Your mental health and personal life come first. While reviews posted around release dates are useful to help readers find my new book, having readers review that book later on is just as helpful… I want you to enjoy your reading time, not feel pressured to finish a book when you are dealing with personal matters.

The reviewing timeline given in the ARC’s application form is a suggested guideline, it is not set in stone.

What if I find a typo?

ARC copies may have a few minor errors, typos, etc., as it’s still going through the final steps of editing when you receive your copy. If you spot one in your copy, please fill out the Report An Error Form here. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will make the reading experience for future readers better!

What if I find a mistake more significant than a simple typo?

If you see any serious issues in the book, please tell me. I want readers to enjoy my books by providing the best reading experience possible, which includes putting readers mental health and personal boundaries first. In order to do so and to prevent any harm to my readers, I’m taking every precaution before release to fix any issues or add warnings to the content list. You can find my Content Warnings page here.

How do I contact you?

You can contact me by email on my Contact Page here, or if you just want to report an error in the manuscript, fill out the Report An Error Form here.

Q: Why didn’t I get approved to be an Arc reader?

If you did not receive an approval email to ARC read one of my books, the only reasons my team declines are as follows:

  • Limited availability of ARC copies

  • Incorrect email provided

  • No link to prior book’s reviews (but for those who answered that it’s your first ARC experience in the request form, this is waved from the selection criteria to give you a fair chance of receiving an ARC).

  • Links you provided are broken (they don’t bring us to the profile or review pages requested)

  • Your bookish social media profiles are set to private

  • Did not fill out the form correctly and provide required info

*Please make sure you take the time to fill out the ARC form accurately.*

If you believe this was a mistake or want to be considered for future ARCs, you’re always welcome to:

Thank you for your support and your interest in my books!
