FAQ

Answers to your most tire-burning hot lap questions...

Q: What genres do you write?

A: I write contemporary romance stories with open-door spice, with a special love for sports romance and small-town settings. You’ll find lots of heart-pounding action mixed with playful banter, steamy moments, and characters you’ll fall in love with. And since it’s romance, there’s always going to be a happy ever after for all the couples of my novels.

Q: How Spicy are your books?

A: My novels contain steamily descriptive scenes with open-door spice and dialogue with explicit adult language. So if you prefer to read fade to black or behind closed doors bedroom scenes, you probably won’t enjoy my books as much as they are spicy.

Q: Are your books available in print?

A: Yes! My books are available in both paperback and hardcover. (Please note: hardcover books contain hardcover-exclusive bonus content, while ebooks and paperbacks have the same extended epilogue).

Q: Where can i buy your books?

A: My books are available in e-book, paperback and hardcover. You can find them on most major platforms:

  • Amazon

  • Kobo

  • Barnes & Noble

  • Apple Books

  • Google Play Books

  • And more!

Check out the Books page for links to all the places where you can grab your copy!

Q: Are your books available in kindle unlimited?

A: No. My ebooks are available wide, meaning that they are on more platforms than just Amazon, and they are also accessible on library apps (as a former librarian this was important for me), as well as other non-exclusive series apps like Kobo Plus.

Many readers in countries outside the USA can’t access library accounts via Kindle readers, and to make my stories accessible for my fellow Canadian and international readers, who might not have access to KU, I wanted to have my work widely available.

And the great thing about libraries is that you can borrow books from your local library branch for free! If they don’t have a copy in their collection, you can always request it through inter-library loans.

Librarians are happy to help you find your next read, don’t hesitate to ask!

Q: can i get an arc (advance review copy) of your books?

A: Thank you for your interest in reading an advanced copy of my novel.

I announce ARC sign-ups on my social media accounts and via my newsletter. The signup form can be found via my link. If you do not see the signup form in my links page, it means that there are no current spots available.

If you’d like to read an arc of my upcoming books, I occasionally run reviewer sign-ups through my newsletter or via social media. Make sure you’re following me there to catch these opportunities. You can also request a review copy by filling out a reviewer form when available. Please refer to this page to learn more.

By signing up to become an ARC reader, if accepted, you are agreeing to receive a copy in exchange for your honest review.

*(Please note: Not everyone who signs up for an arc will receive one, each application is vetted by my publishing team and only a certain amount are distributed. Thank you for your understanding.)*

Q: Why didn’t I get approved to be an Arc reader?

If you did not receive an approval email to ARC read one of my books, the only reasons my team declines are as follows:

  • Limited availability of ARC copies

  • Incorrect email provided

  • No link to prior book’s reviews (but for those who answered that it’s your first ARC experience in the request form, this is waved from the selection criteria to give you a fair chance of receiving an ARC).

  • Links you provided are broken (they don’t bring us to the profile or review pages requested)

  • Your bookish social media profiles are set to private

  • Did not fill out the form correctly and provide required info

*Please make sure you take the time to fill out the ARC forms accurately.*

If you believe this was a mistake or want to be considered for future ARCs, you’re always welcome to:

Thank you for your support and your interest in my books!

Q: is amy macpherson getting a book?

A: Yes, she is! I am working on her book… Not sure when it’s coming out at the moment, as I am concentrating on writing The Racing Line series. To be the first to know when her book is publishing, sign up to my newsletter, follow me on social media, or visit the Coming Soon page.

Q: What’s next ? When is your next book coming Out?

A: For more information about future releases, check out the Books page, the Coming Soon page, or sign up to my newsletter to hear about new books first (including exclusive updates, sneak peeks, and learning about release dates before anyone else).

Q: Have you always wanted to be a writer?

A: Yes! Though it was only after taking a romance writing course, and went to a romance writers conference (as a star-eyed newbie reader) that I learned about self-publishing. It changed everything!

Q: Where do you find inspiration for your books?

A: Everywhere! I believe that filling up that ‘creative well’ is so very important to help with writer’s block. So I regularly go outside to enjoy nature, read books, bake cookies, and spend time with loved ones.

Q: Do you have a newsletter i can sign up for?

A: Yes, I do! Sign up for my mostly monthly newsletter (Billet-Doux) to be the first to know about new releases, exclusive sneak peeks, giveaways, and all things romance. Subscribers also get access to special bonus content, like extra chapters, bonus scenes, and other goodies. Join here!

Q: I signed up for your newsletter, but I didn’t receive any Billet-Doux newsletters? Why?

A: My GDPR-compliant newsletter requires a double opt-in to encsure your consent. After you sign-up, you should have received an email asking you to confirm your subscription to the Billet-Doux newsletter. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam and/or junk folders. If you don’t see it the following day, please try resubscribing to the newsletter.

Q: where can i follow you on social media?

A: I’d love to connect with you! You can follow me on the following platforms:

Feel free to say hello, share your thoughts, and tag me in your photos when you’re reading my books!

Q: How can i contact you?

A: If you’d like to get in touch, you can reach me through the Contact page on my website. I try to respond to all messages personally, though it may take me a little time during peak writing periods, busy family life, and taking care of many furry friends. Thank you for your patience!

Q: Are your books available in audio?

A: Not at the moment. Currently my books aren’t in audio format as I self-publish my novels and it’s quite an expensive endeavour to get them produced as audiobooks. I would love to have my books narrated in the future, once I’ve saved up enough money to do so.

Q: Do your books need to be read in order?

A: My books are written as interconnected stand-alones, so each book follows the love story of one couple and ends with that couples’ happily ever after. However, there are some cameos of your favourite heroes in many of the books in the series. To better appreciate these and the Easter eggs, I highly recommend to read the series in the order they were published or book number in the series.

Q: Are your books available in other languages?

A: At the present time, my novels are only available in English. I would love to have my books available in other languages in the future.

Q: Who is your favourite (real) F1 driver?

A: I know it’s not original, but the same as my grandfather’s! Number 27, Gilles Villeneuve, as he represents everything I associate with Québécois culture (of the 20th century) and reminds me of my grandfather (the person who got me into watching F1 races when I was little).

Q: Why aren’t there any real F1 drivers or teams mentioned in the novel? And why isn’t it called f1 or Formula one in your books?

A: My work is fictional and features very fictional characters and fictional racing teams. Due to copyright, trademarks, and well, creative license, I chose to use fictional names for the organizations in my writing universe. Same goes for the pro hockey and other sports leagues mentioned in my books.
